Suggestion: Member of The Month

Hi everyone, so I have a suggestion for the site. I know that we are a new site and that this suggestion doesn't necessarily need to be added, this suggestion is just a way of honoring members who have proven to post appropriate topics, help members {when needed}, and have contributed to the forums {in terms of posting great topics, being kind to members and being active on the forums}.

So I have been on another forum where every month one member is chosen as the Member of the Month or MOTM; this member is chosen based on their attitude and contributions to the forum {in terms of post quality, and helpfulness}. This system was just a way of showing members that the staff does care about them and how much they contributed.

Also, the way it worked was that every member could nominate one person but they had to explain why; the voting itself was left to staff members.

~So what do you think?, even if it's not accepted it's something I hope to see sometime~

Its a nice idea and I'm in support of it
But as you said, we're a new site, so its not necessarily needed at the moment. But as we progress, I can assure you that the solution will be added. And as a prop, I'll probably change the name color of the winner for a week and i'll probably make a medal for it.

i was thinking of applying it two days ago
but then I thought we still have a few members at least we need 50 members before starting to choose the member of the month
also I think Appling such thing needs a coder or a mod..and I don't know where is jiggy
but I will ask him about that
anyway..I really appreciate such great idea..and make sure that one day we will apply it..

Well laying the foundation before adding the decorations is always a good idea,
No rush, no rush ~

The good thing with Forumotion is that you don't need much. Just adding a new field in our profiles, tick that it shows in our miniprofile and only moderators can edit it. I suggest you make it a text block, so you can add as many as you need afterwards you can simply add the [ img ]s as you see fit.

It's been a while but I think that's how I managed to give some medals for our members back at my forumotion forum.
